This training session will focus on how we can best communicate with young people up to the age of 25 when someone important to them is going to die. We will explore the importance of language; the needs that young people have at different ages and stages; and ways in which we can help them to understand and prepare for a death.

- The needs of young people when facing a death
- Anticipatory grief and what it can look like
- The importance of language when helping a young person to understand what is happening.
- How to share information at different stages of the illness from diagnosis to death.
- How to tell a young person that someone is going to die soon.
