Live talks about grief
Online information sessions about grief by Winston’s Wish for grieving young people and adults supporting bereaved children and young people.

What is grief? Is there a right way to grieve?
Grief is complex, it’s complicated and it’s messy. Whilst everyone grieves differently there are some common threads and themes that can be helpful to know. Every month, our bereavement support workers are running a live Q&A for young people on how grief can impact different aspects of your life growing up, see below for the topic this month. We also have recorded talks for 13-25 year olds and for parents, carers and other family members supporting grieving children and young people. They are called ‘Growing with grief: Guide to an undiscussed topic’ and cover the impact of grief, common feelings and ways to cope. The talks are free to access and you can watch them at your own pace.

Live Q&A: Grief during exam season (for ages 13-25)
Grief doesn’t happen in a vacuum. You are still having to experience and continue with your life whilst grieving and that’s completely unique to you. We recognise that grief can be ‘turned up’ during certain moments and milestones so we’re hosting live Q&A sessions once a month on various topics about grief. It’s your chance to ask questions and hear directly from a bereavement support worker. These sessions will be a safe space, where attendee camera and mics will be turned off throughout but you can send us your questions during the talk.
In April, the Q&A will focus on grief during exam season.
